The garden is located in the southern tip of New Taipei City in the Yingge District near the confluence of the Dahan River & Yingge River. The 32-hectare San Ying Ceramics Garden contains green landscaped area where the San Ying Art Village, Heart of San Ying, and other facilities are such as overwater stage. It is a new way to visit Yingge. Enjoy the sun, river, and the beauty of art.
San Ying Art Village
With “Children’s Art Education” as its
theme, the village is divided into an indoor “showroom”, “workshop”, and
performance area. Meanwhile, an outdoor landscaping art area has been set up
where themed exhibitions will be held on occasion. It is a recreational place
of culture, art, education, and ecology. Children can learn from interactive
experiences while cultivating a foundation of aesthetics. It is a must-visit
place for parents and children.
On top of San Ying Ceramics Garden, there
are four ceramic artworks that look like something created on Earth, and
decorate the grounds with a unique look. Using “Refine Soil” as its planning
concept, the spirit of the land inspires conversations about culture. It is
worthwhile for tourists to savor the meaning of each piece carefully.
Long Yao Bridge
The beautiful bridge has a unique shape and
is exclusively for pedestrian and bicycle use. The wooden deck design is
embedded on the bridge body with a story of Yingge’s kilning history and
cultural background. The bridge body is dragon-shaped, implying an auspicious
sign of good luck. On both ends of the bridge there is an 1804 Future Square
and at night, you can see a full-color light sculpture. It is one of the best
scenic spots of Yingge.
Hsin Ying Bridge
The
original design of the multi-functional land bridge in front of Yingge Ceramics
Museum was from the elongated space of design of the Snake Kiln. The gentle
sloped design allows the handicapped to enter the bridge as well, and provides
a safe, leisurely, and spacious viewing platform for visitors and cyclists. And
it is a convenient shortcut for getting the Yingge Ceramics Museum and Heart of
San Ying to get to see the beautiful ceramic artworks.
